Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. – Matthew 7:7-8
Jesus’ command in this passage ought to give us great confidence and faith in prayer knowing that when we ask in prayer and present our requests He will give what we ask for and we receive His answer. In fact the mere act of spending time alone with God in prayer there’s already great blessing and reward.
But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. – Matthew 6:6
Therefore – ask for all kinds of things that are good and pleasing to the Lord (in accordance, of course to His will). Ask in prayer often, always, and unceasingly with thanksgiving.
Hello,
I believe in the power of prayer. “The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” Please ask the church to pray to God for my ex-finacé Roy and me to be reconciled. We hurt each other in the past. Since then God was preparing our hearts separately in the last year. I love him deeply. Our God is God of restoration. I know God does as He pleases and His will is perfect. “Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it.” I pray to God to grant me this wish for this not to be the end, not just a lesson learned and “ashes”, but that He would build it Himself, a powerful testimony of the relationship restoration and hope to others. Let be glory to God.
Thank you,
Diana
